So maybe 15 years ago I was contacted to do one of my stick art pieces by a couple in Napa way up on the ridge overlooking the valley and all the way to the Bay Area. The husband greeted me,and we discussed their beautiful home and where the piece would be installed. We talked a good amount and could feel and appreciate our relating and spiritual connection. There was something in the space but I didn’t know what it was, a certain sadness or unspoken weight that was palpable. I found out later that he had cancer and didn’t have all that long to live but still wanted art to surround them till the end. I can still feel that relating and value it to this day. Like you can’t take anything for granted and live life as if it will end rather than thinking we have all the time in the world.
Here are some images she sent after such a long time and said she gets comments and compliments all the time.
A life lived doing what you love is a life well spent!
